Baby Dedications
Celebration Church holds baby dedications on a monthly basis during our Sunday services, usually the second Sunday of each month and on Mother’s Day each May. You can register your family to participate by stopping by the Information Center or registering online.
After registering, you will be contacted with details of the next scheduled date and time of dedications at your campus. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to join your church family as we celebrate this special occasion in your infant’s or toddler’s life.
Baby dedications are a sacred function of the church modeled for us in scripture within both the Old and New Testament. Parents, who are believers in Christ Jesus, present their child(ren) before God and His people, praying for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. In doing so, parents express hope that a child might one day make their own decision to trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
During our baby dedications, parents make a commitment before the Lord to raise their child according to God’s Word. Parents and children are prayed over by one of our pastors.
1 Samuel 1:26-28 (NIV)
26 “I am the woman who stood here several years ago praying to the Lord. 27 I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request. 28 Now I am giving him to the Lord, and he will belong to the Lord his whole life.” And they worshiped the Lord there.
