Kids

K - 5th Grade

Our Celebration Kids ministry is here to serve your K-5th grade students. During our weekend services, kids get to experience their very own service with worship, a message, and breakout groups in a safe, friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. Our leaders serve to ensure your kids encounter God, have fun, and feel loved. Celebration Kids ministry is available at all of our locations, every Sunday. If you have a child with a disability or special needs, please visit our Super Squad section for more information.

The safety and security of your children are our top priority. Our check-in and pick-up process is simple yet efficient. Our goal is for you to enjoy service, knowing your kids are secure, while having a great time.

What To Expect

Check-In: From your child’s first visit, we will collect some basic information to get to know your child, and enter them into our system. From then on, each time you check-in, both you and your child will receive a security sticker with a matching 3-digit code, valid only for that day. We ask that both you and your child wear this sticker visibly on clothing, until you leave.

Enjoy Service: After dropping your child off, relax and enjoy the service! Our leaders are here to ensure your kids to have an incredible time in Celebration Kids. However, if you are needed, we will display your 3-digit code on the monitors in service to alert you. Please be attentive to the screens throughout the service; and if your number is displayed, head to Celebration Kids to speak with a leader.

Pick-Up: Pick-up is a breeze. First, you will be asked to show your security sticker prior to entering the secure Kids area. (Wearing your sticker visibly helps keep this process moving quickly.) We will then call your child’s name, and one of our leaders will match the number on your child’s sticker to the number on your sticker, prior to releasing them.

*If you happen to misplace your security sticker during service, proper identification will be required for release in order to match you and your child in our system.

That’s it! We hope to see you and your kids this Sunday for worship. Your kids are sure to encounter God, have fun, and feel loved!

If you have a child with a disability or special needs, please visit our Super Squad section for more information.

SUDS

There’s huge value in modeling prayer and Bible reading to our kids. We want to help encourage this throughout the week by keeping it fun, and simple. So, we’ve created S.U.D.S. a simple method for personal devotion designed for kids and their families.

Here’s how it works:
Each week, your kids are given a daily Bible-reading bookmark that takes a shorter passage from our “grown-up” Bible Reading Plan. Kids are taught on Sunday to study their daily Scripture using the S.U.D.S. method:

S “See it” Read the verse(s) for that day; take time to SEE what God has to say to you.

U “Understand It” Talk with your parents and think about the verse until you understand it.

D “Do It” Think about how you can DO IT. God doesn’t just want us to read His Word, He wants us to live it out!

S “Share It” Share what you’ve learned with your friends and family; encourage them to read God’s Word too.

That’s it! Grown-ups use our S.O.A.P. study guide...and Kids use S.U.D.S.! And when they complete their Bible Reading plan for the week, they get to trade their bookmark in for a cool prize from our treasure box on Sunday. It’s easy, and fun! You can start today. Super Squad

Super Squad is our inclusion ministry to children with disabilities or special needs. Our Super Squad team serve to come alongside these families and support our special-needs children so that they can enjoy our Kids service environment with the rest of the group.

Parents are invited to connect with a leader and sign-up for this service. From your child’s first visit, they’ll receive their “Super-Hero” status, and will be assigned their very own friendly Super Squad Side-Kick.

Your child’s Side-Kick will join them throughout the entire service. They will help ensure their experience is enjoyable and will serve to help your Super Hero engage in the service elements, manage transitions, and overcome any challenges to enjoying the service.

Super Squad exists to cultivate an environment of respect, love, purpose and strong biblical foundation for ALL children. We believe that every child bears the image of God and is infinitely valued and given purpose by Him. Super Squad is dedicated to helping children with special needs step into their fullest potential and their role in the Body of Christ.

*Super Squad is currently available only at our Arena location.

To learn more, or sign up for this service, please visit our Kids area and speak with one of our leaders. Or, submit an inquiry form here and someone from our Super Squad will contact you.

Serve in Kids

There are several opportunities for students and adults to serve in Celebration Kids! Our teams are constantly growing, and we’re always looking to welcome new people to the team. Here’s how to get involved:

  • Attend: Your first step to getting involved is attending our Celebration Church God-First-Life Classes. Click here to learn more.
  • Test Drive: We invite you to come in for a “test drive” to see which of the many aspects of Kids ministry you believe God is calling you to. We’ll then connect you with a leader for training and get you ready to serve.
  • Serve: Start serving as part of the team that helps Kids encounter God, have fun, and feel loved!

Curriculum and Groups

Our creative Kids ministry team writes all of our own Kids curriculum. Each of our studies follow the same God-First-Life values of Celebration Church. Every Sunday, your kids will experience their own worship, a brief message, and then break out in groups according to their grade level. There are basically four things we focus on each week in Kids:

  • The Good News: We’ve developed a simple way to teach kids the Gospel in a way that kids can remember it easily, and share it with others.
  • S.U.D.S.: This is our simple method of Bible reading designed for kids and their families. Click here to find out more.
  • Prayer Hands: Based on the Lord’s Prayer, we teach kids to pray, using their hands as a 5-point guide.
  • One Thing: After the message each week, our leaders help kids focus on “One Thing” from that message by way of a game, song or craft. This helps kids remember the big take-away from that week’s study.
