One Prayer 2009

Posted on Jun 04

We pray to Jesus asking Him to be the answer to our prayers, what if we were the answer to His? In John 17:20-24, He prayed that we would be one, and One Prayer is an opportunity to see what can be accomplished when the Church works together.

In June 2008, God worked in amazing ways as more than two million believers stood together to pray, fast, learn, and love others. Starting the weekend of June 13-14th, we’ll be joining forces once again for an extraordinary worldwide experience: One Prayer 2009.

We Need Your Participation

Your active participation will help support One Prayer during another year of incredible accomplishment as the united body of Christ. Below is an outline of how you and your family can join in the outreaches and missions that Celebration Church is already committed to.

Local Impact: Serving the Homeless Community on a Weekly Basis
  • Sign up for our Jax Beach Homeless Outreach – with an opportunity to serve each Sunday evening. You can also visit your Information Center for other campus outreach opportunities.
  • Donate adult clothing, non-perishable food items or hygiene items. The outreach team is in specific need of t-shirts, jeans, and shoes. Pick up an Impact bag at your campus, fill it with your donation and return it by the weekend of July 4th and 5th. (Bags will be available beginning the weekend of June 27th and 28th)
Global Impact: Serving Missions Trips with Prayer and Financial Support
  • Send our missionaries and help fund missions teams to reach more people for Jesus. During the month of ONE Prayer, we have teams going out to Guatemala, Zambia, and the New Orleans Dreamcenter. Next month, our youth teams will be headed to Costa Rica. For more information, visit http://impact.celebration.org/.
  • Pray and fast for our teams. Pray for the safe travel and incredible life-changing experiences as our teams take the love of Jesus Christ around the world. Corporately we will fast Wednesday, July 1.
  • Join us Wednesday, July 1 at either Midtown (7pm) or Orange Park (6:30pm) for a Night of Worship as we fast and pray for our local outreaches, our global missions trips, and our global church plants in Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Argentina and the future plant in Greece.
  • Give with other One Prayer churches to contribute an offering that will focus assistance in areas where few people know Christ and help them with basic needs. Training pastors, providing clean water, health education, literacy, and training for small enterprise will all be funded as we take part in the One Prayer offering on Wednesday, July 1st.
