Responding to Haiti and Chile

Haiti
Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Haiti was hit by a devastating 7.0 earthquake. This earthquake is the largest disaster in the western hemisphere in 200 years.
Most of Port-au-Prince (the capital city of Haiti) was destroyed, and there has been tremendous loss of life and property throughout the entire country.
This is yet another chance for the church to stand up and make a difference by leading the way in responding to the needs of these precious people. Find out how you can help on our Haiti website.
Chile
On Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, Chile was devastated by an 8.8-magnitude earthquake. This was the fifth strongest earthquake in 100 years and 500 times stronger than the recent earthquake in Haiti. Major damage and loss of life has been reported in the hardest-hit areas surrounding the city of Concepcion, the second largest city in Chile.
This is another opportunity for the local church to respond to the needs and bring hope to people in Chile.
We will also be partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to bring rescue and relief. To help with immediately relief, you can click the button below.
